About Lyrical Children

Our Philosophy

Our mission is to provide a quality environment for preschool children where they can explore, create, experience and learn through a variety of creative, artistic and musical activities. Our goal is to incorporate the experience and philosophy of the "Music Together" program as well as the guidelines of NAEYC in the preschool environment, using the basic premise that children learn through play, exploration and from adult models.

We appreciate and support the close ties between the child and family, and recognize that childhood is a unique and valuable stage that offers a window of powerful opportunity.

Staff

Our Teachers and staff regularly attend training classes held by the Suffolk Child Care Council. Certified Pre-K Teacher

Both Directors are degreed and are trained by the "Center For Music And Young Children" in Princeton, NJ.

Marie Kaminski - Preschool Program Coordinator
Marie has 25+ years experience in various aspects of early childhood education, including preschool teacher and private piano teacher. She holds a B.S in Music in Special Education, "Music Together" level I certified, and "Orff Schulwerk" levels II and I certified.

Deanna Poudrier - Music Together Coordinator
Deanna holds a B.A. and has eight years experience as a registered Music Together Teacher and Director. Affiliate Memberships:

• NAEYC- National and Local
• First Aid and CPR certified
