About Lyrical Children
Our Philosophy
Our mission is to provide a quality environment for newborns through 6 yr olds, where they can explore, experience and play with their parent or caregiver in a musically rich environment. We follow the belief that children learn through play and from adult models.
We appreciate and support the close ties between the child and family, and recognize that childhood is a unique and valuable stage that offers a window of powerful opportunity.
Staff
Both Directors are degreed and are trained by the "Center For Music And Young Children" in Princeton, NJ.
Marie Kaminski - Co-Director
Marie has been teaching Music Together classes since 1999. She has
20+ years experience as a private piano teacher. She holds a B.S in Music in Special Education, "Music Together" level I certified, and "Orff Schulwerk" levels II and I certified.
Deanna Poudrier - Co-Director
Deanna holds a B.A. and has been a registered Music Together teacher since 1999. Deanna has played piano, sung in choirs and plays guitar. She had been an MT mom with both of her children and she is the Music Together Coordinator for Lyrical Children's Pre-School.
Tamara Gregorian - Registered Music Together Teacher
Tamara has taught music & owned her own daycare for 14 years. She is a professional singer & currently sings in local choral groups. She also plays the piano, guitar, dulcimer, autoharp & rhythm instruments. She holds an A.S. in Early Childhood Education & received the Paul S. riley award for her academic achievements.
Rita DiBella - Registered Music Together Teacher
Rita is the lead singer for her band, "Southern Heart". Rita is also a professional event planner, specializing in festivals, concerts, children's birthday parties & weddings.
Allison Santana - Registered Music Together Teacher
Allison has her B.A. from Hofstra University. She's worked as an educator providing Speech services as well as a NYC "Drama Talent" teacher for gifted students. She's also worked in out-reach programs to teach vocal & dance classes. She is an actress and stand-up comedian who has performed in many theaters & clubs locally and in NYC. She has been a MT mom with her 2 children for 3 years.
Sandy Gwydir - Registered Music Together Teacher
Sandy has played piano and has sung in many chorus' and singing groups including the Marist College Singers. She has perforemed in the US and abroad. She was a Kindergarten teacher and has 2 young girls.
